The Ghosh Lab studies the development and function of CNS circuits. There are three major areas of research in the lab. First, we are investigating the mechanisms that regulate synapse formation and synaptic specificity in the developing cortex. Second, we are exploring the mechanisms by which synaptic activity influences the assembly and plasticity of neural circuits. Third, we are using iPS and animal models to understand the molecular and circuit defects that underlie neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism.
The lab has students and postdocs working in San Diego, California, Janelia Farm Research Campus in Virginia, and in Basel, Switzerland. Please check out the links on this page to learn more about our past and present research.
